It’s hardly money for nothing, but Mark Knopfler has sold his Chelsea home – albeit for a vastly reduced price. The six-bed property just off the King’s Road has gone under offer at £6.95m, after originally going on the market at £8.85m. The Dire Straits front man, 59, bought the house, which has its own library and comes with a self-contained one-bed flat, in 1993 for £1.5m.
